    Who I am

My name is Sarah Weaver. The type of counselling I offer is  Humanistic and Integrative. That means that I believe you, as the client, hold the capacity to sow your own seeds towards new and healthy growth. In order to help this along we will work together in the way that best suits your own individua[ needs. I believe the relationship that we develop provides a significant  aspect of the healing process.

It might be that you are struggling with feelings of depression or anxiety. You may have relationship, or self- esteem problems. Maybe you just don’t feel ‘yourself’. What ever it might be that is bothering you I am here to accept and greet you. Please don’t feel that you have to have reached rock bottom. I believe counselling is for everyone and that we can all benefit from it at different times  in our lives.

     So what is counselling?

We all have times in life when we find it hard to cope. Sometimes we have a lack of understanding about what is happening to us. We may feel anxious, desperate or very alone.

Having someone to talk to can lighten the load and make things seem more manageble.

I will provide a safe space for you  to bring what you need to to the sessions.

I will listen to you in a non- judgemental way and together we can try to make sense of your experiences and feelings.

Sometimes this involves distinguishing patterns from the past and finding links to what is happening in the present

I believe in working towards  you developing a deeper, more fulfilling relationship with yourself.

I also offer Walk and talk sessions. This can be helpful if you would like to be in nature, walking side by side rather than face to face in a room. It takes place at Oldbury Court in Fishponds.

    Cost

I charge £55.00 for a fifty minute session. The first session is for us both to get a feel for what it might be like to work together. It is important to feel comfortable and relaxed with the counsellor you choose.

Walk and Talk sessions last for 60 minutes and are charged at the cost of £60.00
